The Bedroom

When we built our house all the bedrooms were upstairs and when I started collecting the "King of His Castle" said "NO COCA-COLA UPSTAIRS!!!"  As we are getting older and seeing some of our friends with ailments such as bad knees, bad backs, etc. we decided to build a bedroom downstairs so in case those ailments fell upon us.  Now the "King of His Castle" sleeps in the Coca-Cola bedroom downstairs!!

He made the headboard out of plywood and we covered it with a bedspread purchased from Wal-Mart.  Students watch as I tell about the joy of collecting and point out some of the special Coca-Cola items.

Santa standup cutouts from a local grocery store bring Merry Christmas wishes to all who enter.  The room was larger than I figured so I placed a Coca-Cola stool with a glass topper on it between a couple of Coca-Cola lawn chairs to take up some space and create a little sitting area.

Here I proudly display my Carhop Barbie which I patterned my costume after.  The dresser is actually the one I used in my family home way back when (1950's). About the time we were building the bedroom I had the opportunity to acquire it.  With a little paint and some handy work from the "nice guy" it makes a real fitting piece of furniture for a "Coca-Cola Bedroom"
